Forecast and optimise

Not all artificial intelligence learns from data. To plan and make decisions we also use operations research algorithms: they find the best solution within real-world constraints, with explainable results and without needing large amounts of data.

The greatest value comes from combining the two: forecasting models estimate what will happen, optimisation algorithms decide how best to organise.

What about generative AI?
